I led the work of designing the product logo and promotional materials for the Freefly professional focus pulling tool.

Client: Freefly Systems

Sector: Robotics

Role: Design director, wordmark design, animation, sound design, campaign developement

Overview

As the design director at Freefly Systems, I saw the product launch of many project. This camera tech tool, the Pilot was one of many. The Pilot is a modular focus, iris, zoom tool designed for professional camera assistants, allowing for wireless control of focus, iris and zoom, and when combined with the Freefly Mimic (as seen here) can also control camera position.

This is a bit of content that I created to show the product on social media. I rigged up the rotation and included a turning of the large yellow focus wheel. I also added a blur effect to take the subject out and then back into focus in accordance with the movement of that wheel. I also added the sound effects. The PILOT word mark was done by me as well.

A 3D model was brought into Keyshot and animated to rotate. The other graphics were added using Adobe After Effects.
